Boulder’s Farm is a small family farm and forest that uses sustainable, human-scale practices in the ecotone between the Willamette Valley and the Coast Range in Pedee, Oregon. Here’s an overview of what we do here, and what products and services we offer.

Firewood

When the weather turns nice, we head outside. There you are, you and your friends, sitting out back. The drinks, the food, the grill and the fire pit. Everyone’s having a great time.
Oops, you forgot the wood.

Don’t let this happen to you. Come to Boulder’s Farm. Grab some wood.
Stock up that fire pit so you’ll be ready. For all you grill masters we’ve got oak, ideal for richer meats like pork or beef. If you’re grilling chicken or fish, we’ve got plenty of lighter hardwoods like maple and fruit wood.
We don’t deliver but don’t worry. It’s a beautiful drive out here. You can even hit a few area wineries and make a day of it. Drop by, get some firewood and meet our crew, including our towering Clydesdale horses, Shasta and Elf.

Organically Grown Hay

This hay is first cutting, mostly fescue, with some ryegrass and orchard grass. We hand-weeded the field before we cut. No herbicides, pesticides, or fertilizers have been used on our fields since at least 2016.

This is beautiful green fragrant hay. It’s what we feed our own horses.

Chemical-free Fir Shavings and Sawdust

Produced from our own trees that we harvested and milled (a mixture of Douglas-fir and grand fir trees. We use no chemicals during the milling process, so our sawdust is 100% natural wood and nothing else.

Heirloom Hops

We recently began harvesting hops from our hundred year old bines. Like everything we produce our farm’s cluster hops are organically grown without pesticides, herbicides or synthetic fertilizers. Brew your next batch of beer from vines that have been growing undisturbed since before Prohibition!

Blue Elderberries

We also began harvesting our first crop of blue elderberries. Just like the rest of our products they’re 100% organically grown. Our elderberries are perfect for making wine, jam, syrup, pies or ice cream.

Our Orchard

After hacking through a half century’s worth of overgrowth we uncovered an apple orchard along with a few pear and plum trees. This fall we’ll have plenty of delicious Belmonts, Baldwins, White Winter Pearmains and other varieties. Our apples are great for cider making, both for home or commercial use.
