What’s on right now at Boulder’s Farm!
It’s winter at the farm. The days are short, the rains are here, and the temperature is chilly. And for right now, that means we don’t have any fresh-picked produce. 🙁
And here’s what’s off…
All seasonal things must come to an end. We’ll have more for you next year, though!

Organic Blue Lake beans
Available again in late spring 2020
A classic Willamette Valley variety. Sweet, stringless, and crisp! Organic. Fresh-picked, $3.00/lb

Organic violet podded beans
Available again in late spring 2020
A tender, flattish stringless “green” bean that’s purple when picked, but turns green when cooked! Organic. Fresh-picked, $3.00/lb

Organic Cluster hops
Fresh hops available in late August 2020
In the meanwhile, we have dried hops for sale
Some compounds in hops are too ephemeral to survive the drying process, which is why wet-hopped beers and hop sodas can be so amazing. But for such amazingness, you need ultra-fresh hops (which have an ultra-short shelf life). We will pick your hops to order the same day you want to pick them up. $5.00/lb
Take the Seasonal Produce Challenge!
Pick a fruit or vegetable that is grown here in the Willamette Valley—one that you really enjoy eating, like strawberries or green beans, or peaches. Now, instead of eating bland, cardboard-like versions of your favorite produce year-round, we challenge you to commit to not eating that fruit or vegetable until it is back in season again locally—and then seek out the freshest local supply of it that you can find and feast on it!
The rewards for your efforts?
- A fantastic sensory experience when your fave is back on
- No disappointed experiences with lackluster out-of-season versions of your preferred produce
- A step toward re-establishing seasonality in your life
- Grateful local farmers
